This 7.9 % Whole Cone, Fresh Hop Double IPA is not only extraordinary, but it also has a great story. Team Alaro gathered in a beautiful hop field near the hamlet of Freeport, along the Sacramento River to hand harvest fresh Cascade Hop Cones to make this beer. After a full day of harvesting hops fresh off the “bine”, we gently cured the hops in the brewery overnight and our brew team brewed this beer the very next morning! This ale brings un-replicable orange citrus and stone fruit aroma, with a touch of fresh dankness balanced by an herbaceous spice flavor and the malt body that Alaro prides itself on. We thank our dear friends at “The Barn at Second Wind” for inviting us to their beautiful property to capture not only locally grown hops but for the memories and companionship!
