Alaro Craft Brewery is so honored that our flagship beer, the Castillo IPA has just earned its second major commercial beer award! At just two months in production, our Castillo IPA took its first Gold Medal at the 2018 Great American Beer Festival for English-Style India Pale Ale and just yesterday, won its second Gold Medal for English-Style India Pale Ale at the 2019
California State Fair Commercial Beer Competition now taking it to Double Gold status!
In this prestigious competition, California craft beers were professionally judged to recognize the best commercially brewed beers in California. 69 qualified judges endured a four-day closed judging session to evaluate 1,237 entries from 182 California breweries.
California is recognized as the place that started the American craft brewing movement and it is the leader of the industry’s growth. As of January 2019, more than 980 craft breweries are in operation across the state, more than any other state in the nation and many of the best breweries in the country are in California!
We are truly honored that our Castillo IPA has been professional recognized with two Gold Medals and we are proud to bring them home to Sacramento!
